An account of the author's 'twenty-eight years as a slave in Virginia, afterwards, at forty years of age, a student in Spurgeon's College, missionary in Africa, evangelist in England'. Bright blue/purple boards (faded to grey at spine) with bright gilt titles. A few light marks and minor scratches to the covers. Edges a little foxed, but internally foxing only to a scattering of pages. There is a presentation bookplate on the inside front cover.
