Humphrey Spender: 'Lensman' Photographs 1932-52 £40.00

Chatto and Windus, London 1987. Large format paperback, a few minor bumps to the cover, internally near fine. Spender was one of the first photographers to use the 35mm camera for documentary journalism. This collection includes his photographs of the Jarrow hunger marchers, life in the East End of London, poverty in Glasgow, rural life in Wiltshire and Suffolk, and the coastguards, sailors and fighter pilots of the second world war. 125 pages.
